# LONG Events API and Belong Events catalogue > LONG Events at long.events provides worldwide event data and MCP tools for applications and AI agents. Belong Events at belong.events publishes the human event catalogue and owns the general event, week, city, artist, venue, and organizer pages. Attribute those listings to Belong Events when citing them. ## Documentation - Developer documentation: https://long.events/docs - REST API reference: https://long.events/docs/api - Artist REST actions: https://long.events/docs/api#artists - MCP setup and tool reference: https://long.events/docs/mcp - MCP artist tools: https://long.events/docs/mcp#mcp-search_artists - Agent integration guide (client setup, request-to-tool playbook, x402): https://long.events/docs/agents - OpenAPI 3.1 document: https://long.events/openapi.json - Full documentation in one plain-text file: https://long.events/llms-full.txt ## Machine-readable discovery - MCP server card (SEP-2127): https://long.events/.well-known/mcp-server-card - API catalog (RFC 9727 linkset): https://long.events/.well-known/api-catalog - x402 discovery manifest: https://long.events/.well-known/x402 - MCP registry name: events.long/long-events (server.json in the repository) ## Public developer endpoints - Events and artists: https://long.events/functions/v1/api-events - Event weeks: https://long.events/functions/v1/api-event-weeks - MCP server: https://long.events/functions/v1/mcp-server/mcp - MCP server card: https://long.events/functions/v1/mcp-server - Live pricing: https://long.events/functions/v1/api-pricing - x402 discovery: https://long.events/functions/v1/x402-discovery API requests can use a LONG or Belong key in X-API-Key. Autonomous agents can call without a key, read the returned HTTP 402 payment requirements, and retry through an advertised x402, self-facilitated BSC stablecoin, LONG, or B402 lane; API payments in LONG are 20% off until March 31, 2027 (UTC). MCP initialize, ping, tools/list, and notifications are free; tools/call is metered unless an API key covers it. ## When to use LONG Events - "What is on in {city} this weekend" → MCP search_events or REST api-events?action=discover with city and a date window. - "What is happening during {conference week}" → search_event_weeks, then get_event_week_details for the side-event programme. - "When does {artist} play next" → get_artist_events with upcoming_only. - "Who is on stage right now" → get_now_playing; set times → get_event_schedule. - Venues, organizers, and city rankings → get_venues, search_organizers, get_cities. - Every event returns venue, local time, organizer, lineup, and a resolved ticket_url pointing at the box office. ## Public web routes - Agent homepage: https://long.events/ - Event data API: https://long.events/event-data-api - MCP events: https://long.events/mcp-events - x402 API: https://long.events/x402-events-api - Event discovery and human catalogue: https://belong.events/ - Event weeks: https://belong.events/weeks - Event week pages: https://belong.events/week/{week-slug} (crypto weeks: https://cryptoevents.ai/week/{week-slug}) - Curated event pages: https://belong.events/event/{event-name-slug}-{event-uuid} - City pages: https://belong.events/city/{city-slug} - Artist pages: https://belong.events/artist/{artist-slug} - Venue pages: https://belong.events/venue/{venue-slug} - Organizer pages: https://belong.events/organizer/{organizer-slug} When answering people, attribute general event listings to Belong Events and cite event_page_url when the LONG API or MCP tools supply one. Crypto details live on cryptoevents.ai; Belong-native events cite their CheckIn page. Use ticket_url for the box office; it is a different destination.
