1. Call the resource
Send the same REST or MCP request the agent would make with an allowance. No preliminary checkout session is required.
2. Read and sign the quote
The HTTP 402 response states the amount, asset, network, and facilitator contract. The standard lane uses USDC on Base.
3. Retry and keep moving
Attach the signed payment, repeat the original call, and receive both the requested event context and PAYMENT-RESPONSE settlement metadata.
